A woman visited Maryland Lottery headquarters to collect two prizes: one for a Pick 3 drawing, and one from the Maryland Lottery Holiday Raffle.
The Baltimore resident, who celebrated her birthday earlier in the month, told Maryland Lottery officials she bought a ticket for the Maryland Lottery Holiday Raffle from the Moravia Shell Gas Station on Nov. 11, and she suspected she might have won when she returned to the store more than a month later.
“I walked into the store and saw they sold a winning raffle ticket,” she said.
The woman discovered she had scored $50,000 as the second Early Bird raffle winner Dec. 8.
Her good luck was compounded when she played 8-8-8 in Wednesday’s midday Pick 3 drawing and matched all three numbers.
“I lost my voice because I screamed too loud. It was a dream come true,” she said.
The player remains eligible to win the $1 million top prize in the final raffle drawing on Jan. 2.
