Authorities in Oklahoma got a taste of the outback when they helped wrangle a kangaroo on the loose in Tulsa County.

The Tulsa County Sheriff’s Office said on social media that the kangaroo, which deputies later learned is named Martha, was spotted hopping loose on the road near the intersection of 171st Street South and Lewis.

The owner eventually learned of Martha’s plight and arrived on the scene to help deputies capture the loose marsupial.

“She escaped from a property not far from where she was captured,” the sheriff’s office said. “She’s now safe and is headed home with her owner.”
