An athletic dog joined human runners in an Indianapolis mini-marathon and police are now trying to find the fleet-footed fido’s owner.
The Indianapolis Police Department shared body camera footage to social media showing officers who were observing Saturday’s 500 Festival Mini-Marathon spotting a dog running alongside the participants.
“Were you running the race, buddy?” an officer asks the dog in the video.
The friendly dog was taken to Indianapolis Animal Care Services, where he will be held until his owners come forward. If he is not claimed by May 13, he will be put up for adoption.
