The talk show Comics Unleashed with Byron Allen is moving to CBS’ 11:35 p.m. week-night time slot starting Friday, May 22.
Two episodes of the half-hour program will replace Late Show with Stephen Colbert, which the network recently canceled.
Two episodes of the game show Funny You Should Ask, produced by Allen and hosted by Jon Kelley, will air in the hour-long slot following Allen’s show.
“I created and launched Comics Unleashed 20 years ago so my fellow comedians could have a platform to do what we all love — make people laugh,” Allen, founder/chairman/CEO of Allen Media Group, said in a statement Monday.
“I truly appreciate CBS’ confidence in me by picking up our two-hour comedy block of Comics Unleashed and Funny You Should Ask, because the world can never have enough laughter.”
