The Bear will return for a fifth and final season in June.

FX announced a June 25 premiere date for Season 5 on Wednesday, just one day after releasing a surprise prequel episode titled “Gary.”

The Bear is a comedy-drama series starring Jeremy Allen White and Ayo Edebiri as Carmy and Syd, two talented young chefs who transform the Chicago sandwich shop previously owned by Carmy’s late brother into a fine dining restaurant.

Season 5 opens with Syd (Edebiri) and Carmy’s sister Sugar (Abby Elliott) picking up the pieces after Carmy quits the food industry.

Meanwhile, “Gary,” released Tuesday, is a prequel episode following Carmy’s late brother, Mikey (Jon Bernthal), and his best friend Richie (Ebon Moss-Bachrach) as they travel to Gary, Ind.

The Bear is a 21-time Primetime Emmy-winning series created by Christopher Storer. Other cast members include Lionel Boyce, Liza Colon-Zayas, Matty Matheson and Edwin Lee Gibson.

Season 5 will release in full June 25 at 9 p.m. ET on FX and Hulu.
