Emergency responders in Florida came to the rescue of an owl that was struck by a vehicle and became wedged inside the front grille.
The St. Johns County Sheriff’s Office said deputies and animal control officers responded to a local church parking lot on Easter Sunday.
The owl was found alive, but trapped in the front grille of the vehicle after an apparent collision on the road.
The responders were able to extract the owl from its predicament and transport it to a local veterinary clinic to be assessed and treated.
