'Mad Men' coming to HBO Max in December, first time in 4K

HBO Max announced Thursday that the acclaimed series Mad Men is coming to its streaming service. Mad Men will be available on HBO Max Dec. 1.

The arrival will also mark the first time the show is presented in 4K. Matthew Weiner created the series.

Mad Men was the debut original series for AMC. It aired from 2007 to 2015 and won Emmys for Jon Hamm, Outstanding Drama Series, Main Title Design and more. Elisabeth Moss, Christina Hendricks, January Jones and John Slattery were also nominated for their roles.

Hamm played Don Draper, an advertising executive in the 1960s with a complicated past. Slattery played veteran agency partner Roger Sterling.

Moss played Peggy Olson, a secretary who becomes an executive herself. Hendricks played Joan Harris, the office manager.

Jones played Betty, Don’s wife and then ex-wife after they divorced. The cast also included Vincent Kartheiser, Kiernan Shipka, Jessica Paré, Aaron Staton and Rich Sommer. Jared Harris and Alison Brie had recurring roles.
