Firefighters and animal control personnel in New Jersey came to the rescue of five kittens found trapped in a storm drain.
The Whiting Fire Company’s Station 33 said on social media that crews responded Wednesday to a request for assistance from local animal control officers.
Firefighters arrived at the location on Hudson Parkway to find five kittens were trapped in a storm drain.
“Crews quickly secured the storm grate and made entry, successfully rescuing five young kittens,” the post said. “All were safely removed and transferred into the care of the on-duty animal control officer.”
