Succession and Manhunter icon Brian Cox has joined the second season cast of Dexter: Resurrection.

The Emmy- and Golden Globe-winning actor will play the serial killer, The New York Ripper.

“Though no longer active as a killer, he’s found a new way to live into his infamy by continuing to taunt the survivors of his long-ago murder spree,” Paramount+ said in a press release Thursday.

Returning for Season 2 are showrunner Clyde Phillips and franchise star Michael C. Hall, who plays a police blood-spatter analyst and vigilante with a young-adult son, Harrison, played by Jack Alcott.

James Remar plays Harry, Dexter’s late, adopted father, who serves as Dexter’s conscience.

No premiere date has been announced yet.
