ABC has renewed its sitcoms Scrubs and Shifting Gears for the 2026-27 television season.
Deadline, The Hollywood Reporter and TVLine reported the news Thursday.
The sequel to the hospital comedy Scrubs — starring Zach Braff, Sarah Chalke and Donald Faison — returned in February after a 16-year absence.
The original iteration of the show ran nine seasons.
Set in a car-restoration garage, Shifting Gears stars Tim Allen, Kat Dennings, Seann William Scott and Daryl “Chill” Mitchell.
It follows a man whose estranged daughter and grandchildren move in with him after the death of his children.
Season 2 wrapped in February.
