Animal control officers in Florida responded to a potentially dangerous call involving a venomous snake that approached the front door of a home.
The Daytona Beach Police Department said on social media that two officers responded to a local home on a report of a snake near the front door.
They arrived to find the serpent, identified as a highly venomous Florida cottonmouth, curled up against an exterior wall near the door.
The video shows the officers using snake hooks to gently lift the cottonmouth and place it into a bucket for safe transport.
