AMC released a clip from The Vampire Lestat on Thursday. The third season of the Anne Rice vampire series premieres in June.
In the clip, Lestat (Sam Reid) is living in Montreal and having a video call with Louis (Jacob Anderson). Lestat gets upset when he learns that Daniel Molloy (Eric Bogosian) has published the book of his interview with Louis.
Lestat visits a bookstore as Louis tries to reassure him that nobody is going to read the book. Louis had burned Daniel’s computer but the book was backed up to the cloud, technology that did not exist when Rice wrote the books.
Patrons discuss the book in French, with one woman preferring Armand (Assad Zaman). The series began under the title of Rice’s first book, Interview with the Vampire.
The Vampire Lestat follows Lestat becoming a rock star. AMC has released the Lestat single “Long Face” to music streaming platforms.
Delainey Hayles and Jennifer Ehle also star in the Vampire Lestat season. Rollin Jones adapted the books and showruns.
