Police in Arkansas came to the rescue of a dog found peeking his face out from inside a storm drain at the side of a road.
The Pea Ridge Police Department said on social media that some local boys spotted the dog trapped in a storm drain and alerted authorities.
Police removed a nearby manhole cover and a sergeant climbed into the drain to bring the dog to safety.
The canine, identified as Dip, was returned to his owner.
It was unclear how Dip managed to become trapped in the storm drain.
