Firefighters in Oregon responded to an Astoria home where a young deer somehow wound up stranded on the roof.
The Astoria Fire Department shared photos on social media from the rescue of a fawn spotted on top of a house.
“This certainly doesn’t happen everyday but somehow this young deer got onto a roof and needed a little help from your Astoria Firefighters,” the post said.
Firefighters used a ladder truck to reach the roof and bring the deer back down to the ground, where it was reunited with its mother.
“Please be safe everyone but if you find yourself stuck on a roof we’ll come get you also,” the department said.
