Scorsese, 'Billions' creators to launch Netflix Las Vegas drama

Netflix announced an untitled Las Vegas casino series on Wednesday. Billions creators Brian Koppelman and David Levien will write and showrun the series and Martin Scorsese is an executive producer.

The eight-episode, hour-long drama centers on Robert “Bobby Red” Redman, the owner of a modern-day Las Vegas hotel.

Scorsese directed the film Casino which chronicled the mob’s takeover of Las Vegas and their eventual downfall. Koppelman and Levien wrote the poker drama Rounders and casino heist sequel Ocean’s Thirteen.

No cast or production and release dates have been announced. Julie and Rick Yorn, Paul Schiff, Beth Schachter and Kerry Orent are also executive producers with Scorsese, Levien and Koppelman.
