Starz has acquired the U.S. rights to the S.W.A.T. spinoff S.W.A.T. Exiles.
Deadline reported Monday that the new series will premiere on the network Sept. 25.
Based on the original 1975 police procedural, the reboot starring Shemar Moore, Jay Harrington, Alex Russell, Lina Esco and Kenny Johnson had an eight-season run on CBS from 2017 to 2025.
Moore will return in Exiles as his character, Daniel “Hondo” Harrelson.
New episodes will air Fridays on Starz and also stream on the network’s platforms, according to Variety.
Moore celebrated news of the spinoff on Instagram.
