An 8-foot python on the loose in an Oklahoma City trailer park for four months was safely captured by reptile rescuers.
Snakes Alive Exotics Rescue and Sanctuary said the snake was located Wednesday in the Burntwood area, where it had been on the loose and sporadically sighted since June. Advertisement
Local residents had voiced suspicions about the python living off neighborhood cats, but rescuers said the python showed no signs of having recently fed on pets or wild animals.
The snake, an albino golden child reticulated python, was malnourished and suffering from a respiratory infection. The python will be taken to a rehabilitation facility, rescuers said.
