A peacock has been spotted on the loose in the area surrounding a Tennessee real estate office, and the origins of the animal are a mystery.
Baily Bowers captured video of the peacock near Ferguson Realtors, in the area of Pellissippi Parkway and Kingston Pike.
Melissa Davis, a Realtor who works at the office, also captured video of the colorful bird hanging out just outside the building on Wednesday.
“Look who stopped by the office today,” David wrote on social media. “Even the peacocks are checking out Knoxville real estate.”
Peacocks are not native to the United States, and there are no known wild populations of the birds in the area.
Anyone who spots the wandering peacock is being urged to contact the Young-Williams Animal Center, which operates the City of Knoxville’s animal services operations.
