An Ohio man is celebrating the luckiest day of his life after winning two lottery prizes in a single day for a total $300,250.
The Akron resident told Ohio Lottery officials his lucky day started when a 50-cent straight bet on a midday Pick 3 drawing resulted in his winning $250.
He stopped by the Giant Eagle store on West Avenue in Tallmadge later that same day and bought a few Wild Cash Tripler scratch-off tickets.
The fourth ticket in his stack turned out to a $300,000 winner.
The winner said his prize money will go toward paying off his parents’ car, buying himself a new car and bolstering his savings.
