CBS has announced it ordered NCIS: New York, starring LL Cool J and Scott Caan, for the 2026-27 television season.
LL Cool J will reprise his role of Senior Special Agent Sam Hanna in the new show.
He originated the role on NCIS in 2009, then played him in NCIS: Los Angeles from 2009 to 2023.
Ocean’s Eleven and Hawaii Five-0 alum Caan will play Sam’s partner, described by the network only as a “roguish special agent,” on NCIS: New York.
CBS previously renewed NCIS, NCIS: Origins and NCIS: Sydney for next season.
The franchise is a U.S. military police procedural created by Donald P. Bellisario and Don McGill.
A spin-off called NCIS: Tony & Ziva aired last year on Paramount+
