HBO has released the first teaser for Lanterns starring Kyle Chandler, Aaron Pierre and Kelly Macdonald.
Wednesday’s 2-minute preview for the comic-book adaptation introduced Chandler and Pierre as Green Lantern intergalactic cops investigating strange goings-on in a small American town where Macdonald plays the no-nonsense sheriff.
Garret Dillahunt, Poorna Jagannathan and Ulrich Thomsen co-star in the show, which is slated to debut this August on HBO and will be available to stream on HBO Max.
The pilot was co-written by Chris Mundy, Damon Lindelof and Tom King, co-creators of the series.
James Hawes directed the first two episodes.
