House of David will return for a third season on Prime Video.
The streaming service announced Friday that it renewed the series for Season 3.
House of David is a drama starring Michael Iskander as the Biblical figure David, a shepherd who is anointed to become the next king of Israel.
The character is perhaps best known from the story of David and Goliath.
Other cast members include Ali Suliman, Indy Lewis, Ethan Kai, Oded Fehr, Yali Topol Margalith, Davood Ghadami, Ayelet Zurer and Aury Alby.
House of David hails from Amazon MGM Studios and Wonder Project, the same studio behind Young Washington and the Prime Video series It’s Not Like That. It’s Not Like That, starring Scott Foley and Erinn Hayes, was canceled this week after one season.
Season 3 of House of David will follow the character into exile before he fulfills his “ultimate destiny as King.”
“Season 3 follows David through one of the most defining chapters of his life, and we’re honored to share this next chapter alongside our partners at Prime Video and MGM Studios,” series creators Jon Erwin and Jon Gunn said in a statement.
“Whether audiences have known David through Scripture or are encountering him from a fresh perspective, we hope the series continues to reveal why his story has resonated across generations.”
House of David premiered on Prime Video in February 2025 and drew 40 million viewers with its first season. Season 2 was released this March.
