Hacks — a comedy starring Emmy winners Jean Smart and Hannah Einbinder — is to kick off its fifth and final season on HBO Max April 9.
The series finale is slated to air May 28.
“In the aftermath of mistaken and unflattering news reports that she passed away, Deborah Vance (Smart) and Ava (Einbinder) return to Las Vegas more determined than ever to secure Deborah’s legacy as a comedian,” a synopsis said.
The cast includes Paul W. Downs, Megan Stalter, Carl Clemons-Hopkins, Mark Indelicato and Rose Abdoo.
Tony Goldwyn, Kaitlin Olson and Christopher McDonald will guest star.
Paul W. Downs, Lucia Aniello and Jen Statsky are the showrunners.
