Netflix is giving a glimpse of the new series The Boroughs.
The streaming service shared a teaser trailer for the show Monday featuring Geena Davis and Alfred Molina.
The Boroughs is a sci-fi series executive produced by the Duffer brothers, the creators of Stranger Things. The show follows “a group of unlikely heroes” living in “a seemingly picturesque retirement community.”
In the trailer, Molina’s character is seen moving into The Boroughs, where he and other residents encounter the “impossible,” including monsters.
Alfre Woodard, Bill Pullman, Clarke Peters and Denis O’Hare also star.
“In a seemingly perfect retirement community, a grieving newcomer’s monstrous encounter inspires him to join a misfit crew of unlikely heroes who uncover a dark secret that proves their ‘golden years’ are more dangerous, and they are more formidable, than anyone expects,” an official synopsis reads.
The Boroughs premieres May 21 on Netflix.
