Escaped goats become local celebrities in Connecticut

A trio of goats that escaped from a farm three months ago have become local celebrities in Connecticut and can often be seen grazing near the highway.

Clinton residents said the three goats escaped from a farm in July and have since been seen grazing on private and state-owned fields near Interstate 95.

Animal rescuer Sylwia Rosinska said the goats have proven difficult to capture.

“They seem to be living their best life,” Rosinska told FOX61 News. “But I do worry that one day they’ll be an accident, and I think that’s what we are all wondering.”

The goats have developed a devoted fan-following among local residents, who have been sharing photos and reporting sightings in a Clinton Roaming Goats group on Facebook.

“People worry about them; I worry about them,” Rosinska said. “They really care about finding them and returning them to the farm. It’s actually really heartwarming to see so many people come together and care about those innocent animals.”

Clinton Animal Control is asking anyone who spots the goats not to attempt to chase them, as they might become spooked and flee toward the highway.
