A home security camera in Colorado captured the moment a man opened the door of his pickup truck and came face to face with a bear in the passenger seat.
Justin Pickar’s Nest camera at his Steamboat Springs home captured video of Andy Kerrigan’s bear encounter in front of the house.
The video shows Kerrigan open the passenger door of his truck, revealing a bear inside the vehicle.
Kerrigan, who said the bear apparently climbed in through an open window, ran around to the front of the truck, but the bear did not exit through the open door, instead choosing to continue rooting around inside in an apparent search for food.
The man ended up retrieving a wooden plank and using it to intimidate the bear into vacating the vehicle.
The truck did not appear to be seriously damaged by the bruin.
