Police in New York responded to a burglary alarm at a Suffolk County bank, and arrived to find the suspect was a deer that crashed through a window.
The Suffolk County Police Department said officers were summoned to Webster Bank in Ridge on Sunday when a burglary alarm was triggered.
They arrived to find a buck had crashed through a window and became trapped inside. The animal made a mess of the bank’s office in its attempts to find its way out.
The department said officers were able to lasso the deer and lead it outside, where it was returned to the wild.
“We think the buck was looking for bucks,” police joked on social media.
