A Stranger Things superfan from Arizona proved his love for the recently-concluded Netflix series by amassing a record-breaking collection of memorabilia.
Chandler resident Joey Avalos was awarded the Guinness World Record for the largest collection of Stranger Things memorabilia in January when his stash of Stranger Things things was tallied at 2,301 different items.
“I started collecting right after the show came out but there wasn’t a lot of merch out there,” Avalos told Guinness World Records. “I was already a Funko Pop! collector so that was the easiest way to get into collecting Stranger Things items.”
Avalos said his collection is still growing.
“Like the Upside Down, my collection continued to spread throughout my house and continues to spread today,” he said.
