Police in South Carolina said animal control officers were able to wrangle some small goats on the loose and return them to their owner.
The Pickens Police Department said on social media that officers received an “ominous call” about goats on the loose in the city Thursday.
“Our officers engaged in several brief foot pursuits with the suspects,” the post said.
Animal control personnel arrived on the scene “with the proper equipment” and were able to wrangle the hoofed fugitives.
“Peace was restored, no injuries were reported and all goats were safely returned to their owner,” police wrote. “Good times were had by all… and it was quite the comedy show for anyone driving by.”
