An animal control officer in Virginia was flagged down by a neighbor to help deal with an unusual situation — an owl stuck in the front grill of a truck.
Isle of Wight County Animal Services said Animal Control Officer Jessica Brock was on her way home after her shift when a neighbor sought her assistance. Advertisement
The man explained he had “accidentally struck an owl and noticed the owl was stuck inside of his truck grill,” animal services said in a Facebook post.
Brock was able to disentangle the owl from the vehicle’s grill and took the avian to Nature’s Nanny Wildlife Rehabilitation to have its injuries assessed and treated.
