True Blood and The Gifted alum Stephen Moyer is returning for more Art Detectives on Acorn TV.
A two-part special is to air this December, followed by a six-episode season of the crime drama in 2027.
Production on the new episodes is to begin this summer in Northern Ireland.
The show casts Moyer and Virdee actress Nina Singh as police detectives for the Heritage Crime Unit, who solve murders connected to art and antiques.
“Great art, rare antiques, expensive collections and a battered satchel — what’s not to love about Mick Palmer?” Moyer, who is also an executive producer on the series, said in a press release Tuesday.
“I’m really looking forward to filming these eight new episodes and reuniting with the brilliant Nina Singh. This new season is packed with drama, excitement, tension and surprises. I can’t wait to be back in Belfast, working alongside our wonderful production team again.”
