A Netherlands animal rescue group was called out to a seaside hotel when a guest walked into their room to find a gray seal taking a nap.
The Zeeland Animal Welfare Foundation said on social media that rescuers took a call from employees at the Boulevard 17 hotel and “couldn’t believe it at first” when they explained the situation. Advertisement
Rescuers arrived and confirmed there was a gray seal taking a nap on the floor of the hotel room.
They called for help from the Sea Animal Rescue Team Netherlands RTZ, and the groups worked together to remove the animal from the room.
The seal, “who had become quite grumpy due to his disturbed beauty sleep,” was placed in a basket and relocated to a quieter area of seashore.
