Ricky Gervais and his Alley Cats co-stars celebrate 25 years of The Office in a new animated video released by Netflix Thursday.
The hilarious, profanity-laden clip is a minute long and features a group of kitties, including Gervais’ Gus, sitting on a couch and discussing the classic, live-action workplace comedy, The Office, which Gervais also starred in, wrote and directed.
The feline fan club also talks about Gervais’ other popular projects such as After Life, Derek and Extras.
The adult cartoon comedy, Alley Cats — which features the voice talents of Gervais’ past collaborators Tom Basden, Andrew Brooke, David Earl, Kerry Godliman and Jo Hartley as his friends — premieres on the streaming service Aug. 7.
“I heard he always uses the same actors because he is too lazy to find new talent,” one of the cats said about Gervais in the video.
“Oh, did you?” Gus fires back. “I heard he always uses the same actors because they’re his mates and they’re too [expletive] useless to get anywhere without him, so can we watch The Office now please?”
Gervais also released a special on YouTube of some of his favorite moments from The Office, which he co-created with Stephen Merchant and which spawned several successful international spin-offs, including one in the United States starring Steve Carell and John Krasinski.
