A Maryland Lottery player won a $39,969 prize from the Racetrax virtual horse racing game less than two months after he scored a $31,521 payout from the same game.
The Queen Anne’s County man told Maryland Lottery officials he has a routine for playing Racetrax.
“I usually play 20 races, then follow the results on my phone,” he said.
The player followed that strategy when he bought his Racetrax tickets from the Citgo gas station South Commerce Street in Centreville on Wednesday.
The routine ended up winning the man $39,969 from his Trifecta Wheel style bet.
The player previously visited lottery headquarters when he scored $31,521 from a similar Racetrax bet he placed June 30. Both of his winning tickets were purchased from the same Citgo station.
“I play regularly,” the man said. “I play within my means.”
