A chicken on the loose in a Kentucky neighborhood led an animal control officer and neighbors on a chase before taking a dip in a pool.
Lexington-Fayette Animal Care & Control said on social media that an officer responded to the Tates Creek area on Friday night on a report of a chicken running loose.
She arrived to find local residents attempting to catch the fugitive fowl.
“This adventurous little gal kept everyone on their toes, even taking a quick dip in a neighbor’s pool before finally deciding her wild night out was over and finding a safe landing with us at the shelter,” the post said.
Officials are now trying to determine the chicken’s origins so she can be returned to her owner.
