Police in Ohio came to the rescue of a squirrel that ended up entangled in a sports net that had been left out while not in use.
The Richmond Heights Police Department said on social media that officers were dispatched to a resident’s backyard to free the rodent from its predicament.
The department said on officer was able to free the squirrel “with some patience, a few careful cuts and a steady hand.”
“Once loose, he didn’t stick around for an interview — he bolted straight back to the trees, tail high and freedom restored,” the post said.
