Authorities in Texas said a deputy was called out to wrangle a kangaroo seen hopping loose while wearing a red jacket.
The Fayette County Sheriff’s Office said the fashionable marsupial was spotted wandering loose in the area of Farek Loth Road and Farm to Market 609 on Thursday. Advertisement
“Is your kangaroo missing?” the sheriff’s office said on social media. “Yes, we are serious… we couldn’t make this up if we wanted to.”
The post was later updated to state the owner of the kangaroo, which turned out to be named Jack, was located and the marsupial returned home.
