Sheriff’s deputies in Colorado came to the rescue of a deer that wandered into a resident’s garden and became entangled in a tomato cage.
The Douglas County Sheriff’s Office said on social media that a pair of deputies were out on patrol when they were summoned on an “unusual call” for “a wildlife assist involving a deer that had managed to get a tomato cage stuck on its head.”
The sheriff’s office shared body camera footage of the deputies chasing the deer down and disentangling it from the wire tomato cage.
The deer did not appear to be injured and was released back into the wild.
