

Connecticut State Police thanked drivers for their patience while crews worked to clear the scene of a spill involving a semi truck and a large amount of beer.
The CSP’s Troop B in North Canaan said on social media that troopers responded about 5:39 a.m. Monday when a “commercial tractor-trailer veered off the roadway and overturned” on Route 44, near Twin Lakes Road in Salisbury, causing it to spill its load of beer into the roadway.
The road was closed for several hours while crews worked to clear the roadway of truck wreckage, as well as cans and kegs of Michelob Ultra beer
“Thank you to all motorists for your patience and for seeking alternate routes during the closure,” the post said.
The cause of the crash has not yet been determined. The investigation is ongoing.
