California crash covers highway in beer cans and kegs

A multi-vehicle crash on a California highway Tuesday morning caused a semi truck’s trailer to rip open, spilling beer cans and kegs across the roadway.

The California Highway Patrol said the crash, which involved at least two big rigs, occurred just before 3 a.m. Tuesday in the westbound lanes of the 210 Freeway in the Irwindale area.

The crash caused one of the trailers to rip open and spill Coors Light beer cans and kegs across multiple lanes of traffic.

All westbound lanes were initially closed following the crash, but crews were able to move the debris to the right two lanes, allowing traffic to pass on the left.

Drivers were urged to find alternate routes while cleanup operations continued.

Initial reports indicated there were no serious injuries from the incident, but one person was treated for a minor wound.
