Apple TV has renewed its comedy, Margo’s Got Money Troubles, for Season 2.
Created by David E. Kelley, the screen adaptation of Rufi Thorpe’s best-selling novel stars Elle Fanning, Michelle Pfeiffer, Nicole Kidman, Nick Offerman and Thaddea Graham.
Season 1 is to wrap up its first season on May 20.
The show follows single mom Margo, who works as an Only Fans personality to pay the bills. Pfeiffer and Offerman play her parents, a retired Hooters waitress and retired pro wrestler, respectively.
“Embarking on the adventure of bringing Margo to the screen has been one of the greatest joys of my life,” Fanning, who is also an executive producer on the series, said in a press release Wednesday.
“When I first read Rufi’s stunning story, it felt wholly original and most importantly human, and then with David’s writing, along with our epic cast of heart-wrenching performances, it truly felt like we had something special,” she added. “Having the opportunity to bring more of Margo’s troubles, creativity, fearless spirit and authenticity to audiences with a second season, makes me incredibly happy and excited. I can promise everyone they’re in for a wild, messy, and beautiful ride.”
