Apple TV is teasing the new series Lucky.
The streaming service shared a trailer for the show Wednesday featuring The Queen’s Gambit and Furiosa actress Anya Taylor-Joy.
Lucky is a crime thriller created by Jonathan Tropper (Your Friends & Neighbors) and based on the Marissa Stapley novel. Taylor-Joy plays the titular Lucky, a con artist on the run after a multi-million dollar heist goes wrong.
“Pursued by both the FBI and a ruthless crime boss, Lucky must fight for her life — and a way out,” an official synopsis reads.
The cast also includes Timothy Olyphant as Lucky’s father John Armstrong, Annette Bening as the mob leader Priscilla Matheson, and Aunjanue Ellis-Taylor as FBI agent Billie Rand.
Lucky is created and written by Tropper, who also serves as showrunner with Cassie Pappas. The pair executive produce with Taylor-Joy, Reese Witherspoon and Lauren Neustadter.
The show will have a two-episode premiere July 15 on Apple TV.
