A total 31,075 coordinated skydives took place in 43 countries in a single day to break a world record for the most recorded skydives completed in a single day.

Saturday’s World Skydiving Day event, coordinated by the U.S. Parachute Association (USPA), Australian Parachute Federation, British Skydiving and Canadian Sport Parachuting Association, surpassed the previous record of 30,351 jumps, established in 2024.

Organizers said the event included skydivers of all skill levels, including first-time tandem jumpers.

“Records are made to be broken, and we’re excited that tens of thousands of people from around the world were able to make their way to a drop zone and celebrate our sport,” USPA Executive Director Albert Berchtold said in a news release.

“This record signifies the continued growth of the sport, welcoming newcomers and celebrating experienced skydivers who have made a significant commitment to skydiving.”
